Dr. Massmann is an exceptional therapist providing supportive care for individuals and families who have experienced pregnancy loss or the death of an infant. It is unusual for a clinical practice to focus on loss and grief, and rarer still to find a practice with this level of competence and knowledge. Offering excellent grief support requires clinicians to seek out training beyond “counseling school” and not only has Kathleen done this, but she makes certain her clinical team is prepared and educated.

Kathleen is one of the most generous and loving persons I know. She cares deeply and goes out of her way to make sure others know that they are not alone. She shares her knowledge and skills with others and expects nothing in return- she gives from her heart. She is one of the best.

After learning that our first daughter, DJB, would be delivered stillborn, I was put in contact with Kathleen. With incredible care and knowledge, she guided me through labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. She not only communicated with the medical staff to ensure I received the best possible care, but she also lovingly dressed my daughter in the outfit we had chosen to bring her home in—something I will never be able to thank her enough for. She went above and beyond to help us honor our daughter in every way possible. When I look back on my daughter’s birthday, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for Kathleen. But what stands out the most is that she did it all purely out of the goodness of her heart, expecting nothing in return. Dr. Massmann will always hold a special place in our family’s heart.
