Danielle Hjelm is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Northwestern-St. Paul, and her Master’s degree in Counseling & Psychosocial Services from Saint Mary’s University of MN. Her approach is systemic, solution-focused, humanistic, client-centered, along with cognitive behavioral therapy techniques.  Danielle is certified by the International Partnership for Perinatal Excellence.

Danielle believes that small steps have the opportunity to make significant changes in a person’s life. As a therapist, she believes everyone has their own life stories and experiences. She enjoys working side by side with her clients to reach therapeutic goals in a safe environment. Danielle has experience and enjoys working with children, adolescents, adults, and families facing various challenges such as life transitions, depression, anxiety, parenting struggles, behavioral issues, Postpartum depression & anxiety, and trauma.

In her free time, Danielle enjoys spending time with her husband and son, exploring the outdoors, gardening, and visiting friends/family.
