Jenny Burgers

Jenny Burgers is a perinatal nurse navigator with a lifelong passion for reproductive health and social justice. IPPE-certified through Star Legacy Foundation, she is part of a national network of professionals committed to exceeding the highest standards of perinatal care—particularly in the deeply nuanced space of perinatal loss.

While working at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Jenny found herself deeply moved and inspired by the mentorship of Nancy Sawyer and Sue Steen. It was here that she fell in love with perinatal loss work—a space she describes as spiritual, complex, and filled with coexisting emotions: grief, peace, heaviness, and gratitude.

As a bedside labor and delivery nurse, Jenny has walked alongside countless families through some of their most vulnerable and heartbreaking moments. Her role goes beyond clinical care—she is a guide, advocate, and source of compassion as families face unthinkable decisions and diagnoses. She is committed to helping create meaningful birth experiences that families can carry with them for a lifetime, even in the face of devastating loss.
